About Nia

Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that leads to health, wellness and
fitness. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body,
mind, emotions and spirit. Classes are taken barefoot to soul-stirring music in
more than 45 countries. Every experience can be adapted to individual needs and
abilities. Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the
way you feel, look, think and live.

Nia is a therapeutic form of movement which enables those who participate in the
class to become consciously aware of their mind body spirit connection and to
tap into it’s intrinsic wisdom to integrate self healing on many levels. It
assists in realigning your chakra system and clears negativity from your subtle
energy bodies.

The rhythmical and repetitive nature of the easy movements allows you to feel at
ease with the move so you can then really feel what is going on within your
body.

You are invited to work at your own level and pace, thus allowing your body to
speak to you as to what is best for you and your body at that particular moment
in time. It can be easy, or athletic. Or anything in between. You are in control
of your fitness.

By giving your body permission to move in the way it wants to it can freely heal
on every level. Nia is a fun, non judgemental movement class done to unique and
interesting music which has been commissioned especially for Nia classes.

I also incorporate some core strength exercises and a relaxation/personal
meditation time.

Many people comment on how relaxed, free and flexible their bodies feel after
completing a Nia class.

So join us……… experience the joy of movement and see how you feel.
